Our experienced team will guide you through the art of distilling, starting with a tasting session of our spirits to help you decide on the style and flavour profile you’d like to create. Whether you're drawn to the classic botanicals of gin or prefer a vodka base with bright citrus, subtle spice, or even a bold chilli kick, the choice is yours.
Next, venture into our lush garden to hand pick fresh herbs and botanicals, then settle in as your creation simmers away in a traditional copper still. While it distills, you'll learn the fascinating story of Distillery Botanica and the craft behind our award winning spirits.
You’ll also design and print a personalised label to complete your one of a kind bottle. Before the workshop wraps up, our team will demonstrate how to mix the perfect G&T or vodka soda and share tips on garnishing and cocktail creation so you can serve your spirit in style.

We had a lovely few hours at the Distillery Botanica. I did the distill your own gin workshop, while my son did the vodka one. The very knowledgeable staff member did them at the same time. So much fun learning about gin and vodka, strolling the gardens for herbs and fruit and then tasting our own drinks over a tasting plate. We then had a coffee and cake in the cafe. which took me back to days at the Fragrant Garden. Highly recommend.
We had the most wonderful afternoon at the Distillery crafting our own gins with Emily. She guided us through the garden to pick our botanicals, answering all our questions and making excellent suggestions as to pairings. Nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommend a visit to this beautiful sanctuary - we will definitely be back to enjoy some time at Bar Botanica - it looked so inviting and a great way to spend an afternoon.

We were given gift vouchers by our children for a Make your Own Gin experience last year. We don't usually get excited about receiving vouchers and weren’t in a hurry to use them but yesterday we decided it was time to use them and what a great time we had. It was nothing like we thought it would be like. How could you fill in 2hrs talking about gin we said. How wrong we were. Our guide for the experience was Emily who was fantastic and so good explaining the process of making gin. Next we ventured out into the garden to select our botanicals, herbs and spices. Then it was time to distill and wait in the meantime learning all about the process and the history of the distillery. Next, the exciting part of designing our labels and bottling our gin and hey presto it was time to sit back and enjoy our creation. What a fantastic time we had. We would love to do it all over again. We are now sitting back each night enjoying our own personalised gin creations. We would thoroughly recommend a gift voucher for this experience.
